Ingredients

  • 18 Hershey's Kisses
  • 18 Mini Nilla Wafers
  • 6 ounces Ghirardelli's Milk Chocolate Melting Wafers

Instructions

  • Place the Ghirardelli melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat on defrost mode for 2 minutes, stir, then microwave for 1 more minute until smooth and fully melted.
  • Transfer the melted chocolate into a piping bag (or a plastic sandwich bag). Snip a tiny hole at the tip so you can pipe a small amount at a time.
  • Pipe a little chocolate on the flat side of each mini wafer. Press a Hershey’s Kiss onto the wafer and hold for a second until it sticks. Set aside to dry and harden.
  • Pipe a small dot of chocolate on top of the wafer “cap.” Once it dries slightly, add another little dot of chocolate to create a raised stem.
  • Let acorn cookies sit at room temperature until completely dry. Enjoy!

Notes

Use Good Quality Chocolate: Ghirardelli melts give a smooth, glossy finish that holds well, but any good melting chocolate works.
Keep Hands Clean: Try using tweezers or small tongs to avoid fingerprints on the chocolate.
Work Quickly: Chocolate hardens fast, so prepare your ingredients before you start melting.
Make Ahead Friendly: These can be assembled a day in advance and stored at room temperature in an airtight container.
