Servings 20 donut holes

Ingredients

  • 20 Glazed Donut Holes
  • ¾ Cup Chocolate Chips
  • 10-20 Pretzel Sticks
  • ¾ Cup Chocolate Sprinkles

Instructions

  • If your pretzel sticks are long, snap them in half. This way, you’ll only need 10 pieces instead of 20.
  • Place chocolate chips in a small microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until smooth and creamy. If your chocolate chips were chilled, they may need a little extra time.
  • Dip the top of each donut hole into the melted chocolate. Lightly scrape the edge of the donut against the bowl to remove any excess chocolate.
  • Immediately dip the chocolate-coated tip of the donut hole into the bowl of chocolate sprinkles. Roll or press gently to cover the surface evenly.
  • Carefully press a pretzel stick (or half stick) into the chocolate end of the donut hole to create the acorn “stem.” Be gentle so you don’t scrape off the coating.
  • Place each finished donut hole on parchment paper to dry. You can refrigerate them for about 5 minutes if you want the chocolate to set quickly, or serve them right away while the chocolate is still slightly gooey. Enjoy!

Notes

Use Fresh Donut Holes: Older donut holes can be dry and crumbly, making them harder to work with.
Work Quickly: The chocolate sets fast, so dip in the sprinkles immediately after coating.
Microwave Carefully: Stop and stir every 30 seconds to avoid burning the chocolate.
Kid-Friendly Prep: Kids love helping with the sprinkling and “stem” placement, but you may want to handle the melted chocolate yourself.
