Cook Time 12 minutes mins
Set Time 1 hour hr
- 1 (16.5 oz) roll sugar cookie dough
- White cookie icing
- Orange cookie icing
- Black cookie icing
- 16 Large marshmallows
- 32 M&Ms
Preheat the oven and bake cookies according to the sugar cookie dough package instructions. Remove from oven and let cool completely.
Spread white cookie icing over each cookie, swirling outward to look like a melted puddle of snow.
Place one marshmallow on top of each iced cookie for the snowman’s head. Press gently to secure.
Use black icing to add eyes, a mouth, and stick arms. Add orange icing to create a carrot-shaped nose.
Place two M&Ms on each cookie to look like buttons.
Allow cookies to set for 30–60 minutes until icing has hardened.
Serve and enjoy your festive snowman treats!
Cooling Time Matters: Make sure cookies are fully cooled before decorating, or the icing will slide off.
Thicker Icing Holds Better: If your icing seems thin, let it sit for a few minutes before using so it firms slightly.
Make Ahead Friendly: You can bake the cookies a day in advance and decorate them later for less stress.
Creative Decorating: Encourage kids to give their snowmen “personalities.” A crooked smile or tilted head makes them extra charming.
