Cuisine American
- 6 donuts
- 6 marshmallows
- 7 ounces white chocolate melts
- 2 ounces black chocolate melts
- 6 red sour strips
- Orange candy color
Place the white chocolate melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 30 seconds, stir, then continue microwaving in 15-second intervals until fully melted and smooth.
Scoop a few spoonfuls of the melted white chocolate into a smaller bowl. Stir in a few drops of orange candy color until evenly tinted, then transfer to a piping bag and secure.
Using the same method, melt the black chocolate melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Once melted, transfer to a piping bag.
Lay out parchment paper. Dip each donut top into the melted white chocolate, letting excess drip off. Place them on the parchment paper to set.
Place one marshmallow in the center of each donut. Turn them in different directions so each snowman has a unique look. Let set for about 10 minutes.
Snip small tips off the piping bags. Pipe black dots for eyes and a smile, then use the orange chocolate to add a little carrot-shaped nose.
Wrap each snowman with a red sour strip “scarf.” Secure by piping a little melted chocolate at the back to hold in place.
Once everything is dry, arrange your melted snowmen on a serving plate and enjoy!
Work Quickly: Candy melts set fast, so have your piping bags and decorations ready.
Secure Marshmallows: If marshmallows slip, use another dab of melted chocolate to glue them in place.
Vary the Faces: Pipe different expressions to make each snowman look unique and playful.
Use Quality Donuts: Fresh donuts make a big difference in taste - avoid stale ones.
