Servings 6 pretzel rods

Ingredients

  • 6 pretzel rods
  • 2 cup marshmallows
  • 1/3 cup graham crackers; crushed
  • 10 ounces Ghirardelli's chocolate wafers

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper so the chocolate doesn’t stick. Place the pretzel rods on one side and have your bowls of marshmallows and crushed graham crackers ready to go.
  • Add the chocolate wafers to a microwave-safe bowl. Heat on defrost for 2 minutes, stir, then heat for 1 more minute. Stir until completely smooth. If a few pieces remain, keep stirring until they melt from the residual heat.
  • Hold a pretzel rod over the bowl and spoon chocolate over the top half. Gently rotate the rod so it’s evenly covered. Let the excess drip off before laying it onto the parchment paper.
  • While the chocolate is still soft, press marshmallows into the coated section of the pretzel. Space them close together so most of the chocolate is covered.
  • Drizzle a little extra chocolate across the marshmallows. Immediately sprinkle crushed graham crackers over the top so they stick to the drizzle.
  • Place the baking sheet in the freezer for about 10 minutes, or until the chocolate has hardened. Remove, gently pull the rods apart if they’ve stuck together, and serve. Enjoy!

Notes

Choose the Right Chocolate: Melting wafers (like Ghirardelli’s) give you the smoothest finish, but you can use chocolate chips with a teaspoon of coconut oil if that’s what you have.
Don’t Rush the Melting: Heat the chocolate slowly on defrost or low power in the microwave. Stirring between bursts prevents it from burning and keeps it silky.
Work in Batches: Coat and top 2–3 pretzel rods at a time so the chocolate doesn’t harden before you add the marshmallows and graham crackers.
Keep it Neat: Place the parchment-lined baking sheet close to your work area. This makes it easier to set the rods down quickly without dripping chocolate everywhere.
Make Ahead Friendly: These pretzel rods can be prepared a day in advance. Just store them in an airtight container at room temperature until ready to serve.
