Cuisine American
- 36 dark chocolate Rolos
- 36 pretzel snaps or mini twists
- 24 M&M’s
- 12 large candy eyes
Preheat your oven to 250°F. Line two baking trays with parchment paper. Working in batches prevents the Rolos from hardening too quickly before you can decorate them.
Place 18 pretzels (or however many you’re making) evenly spaced on the first tray. Top each one with an unwrapped Rolo.
Bake for 2 to 3 minutes - just until the Rolos look shiny and slightly soft. You want them warm enough to press toppings into, but not fully melted.
Remove the tray from the oven and immediately press one M&M or candy eye into the center of each softened Rolo. Then repeat with the second tray.
Allow the Rolo pretzels to cool and firm up. You can chill them in the fridge for 10 - 15 minutes or leave them at room temperature for 20 - 30 minutes.
Watch the Bake Time: 2 - 3 minutes is all you need. If you overbake, the chocolate can bubble or split.
Work in Batches: Decorating while the chocolate is still warm is key.
Use Parchment Paper: This keeps everything from sticking and makes clean-up easy.
Don’t Skip the Chill: Cooling helps the chocolate firm up so they stay intact when you pick them up.
