Ingredients

  • 36 dark chocolate Rolos
  • 36 pretzel snaps or mini twists
  • 24 M&M’s
  • 12 large candy eyes

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 250°F. Line two baking trays with parchment paper. Working in batches prevents the Rolos from hardening too quickly before you can decorate them.
  • Place 18 pretzels (or however many you’re making) evenly spaced on the first tray. Top each one with an unwrapped Rolo.
  • Bake for 2 to 3 minutes - just until the Rolos look shiny and slightly soft. You want them warm enough to press toppings into, but not fully melted.
  • Remove the tray from the oven and immediately press one M&M or candy eye into the center of each softened Rolo. Then repeat with the second tray.
  • Allow the Rolo pretzels to cool and firm up. You can chill them in the fridge for 10 - 15 minutes or leave them at room temperature for 20 - 30 minutes.

Notes

Watch the Bake Time: 2 - 3 minutes is all you need. If you overbake, the chocolate can bubble or split.
Work in Batches: Decorating while the chocolate is still warm is key.
Use Parchment Paper: This keeps everything from sticking and makes clean-up easy.
Don’t Skip the Chill: Cooling helps the chocolate firm up so they stay intact when you pick them up.
